About

Linda Harris (MSc., Reg. MBACP) is an Independent Psychotherapist & Counsellor, and is a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), offering both face to face and online counselling to individuals and couples.

Linda has almost 30 years experience of working in mental health, predominantly within the NHS. Linda also has extensive experience of working within a custodial environment, and has supported vulnerable adults within HMP Service, and those detained within Criminal Justice Centres.

As Linda values attachment, early childhood experiences and the affects of related trauma, she is able to understand the impact detrimental experiences from childhood go on to affect us later in life. Linda is able to offer a warm and safe place in which to work through your difficulties with you, and practices to a very high standard of confidentiality. Linda pays high regard to the importance of the relationship between counsellor and client, and feels this is crucial to successful counselling outcomes.

A practitioner of Integrative Counselling, Linda's education incorporated 5 years of face to face counselling training at college and the University of Northampton. Linda has also undergone several years of personal development training and therapy.

Linda is a 'Kink Aware' therapist and can offer specialist support and insight with regards to this.

Linda has full professional indemnity insurance, holds a current enhanced DBS certificate (formerly CRB), is registered with the Professional Standards Authority, and is registered with the 'Information Commissioners Office' as a Data Controller and Processor.
